Ready for the Holidays

I’m a huge fan of the holidays.  I use the holidays to relax my own way and more importantly reset.  I’ve been living this intense startup life since July.  Around 5 months of pitching, selling, prototyping, etc… It’s all a whirlwind.  And my hobby channel has changed a lot too now that I get Patreon money.  Life is a lot of fun.. but I’m feeling a bit burned out.  Most likely as a result of the projects I’m working on right now.  Facebook, Adwords, websites, etc.  It’s a lot.  And you have to keep grinding it out.  Sales is the thing that takes the most time since I haven’t designed the templates yet.  I’m hoping to have that done tomorrow.

I’m not sure why this always becomes the case…. but I rely heavily on Sunday.  This is true even if Saturday was productive.  Oh Sunday…  I have to cram a bunch of videos which I should have made tonight.  Uploading takes a long time with my home internet speed.  The internet people tell me I have the fastest speed in my area… I find that hard to believe.

With PPC you can’t really relax.  Your campaigns are always running and spending money.  Money isn’t yours.  And with a startup you have to do sales whenever you have a free moment.  Proposals are a nightmare too since they are so repetitive.  At the same time they have to be unique and require research.  These blogs will be interesting to look back on, years down the road.. regardless of what happens.  They seem extremely whiny but I’m actually having a lot of fun.  It’s just a lot to take in and do.

It’s nice that I get to work home half a day Monday.  That allows my Sundays to be extra productive since I can work late into the night.  It’s raining pretty hard right now.  Means I’ll get a good sleep in tonight.  I love sleeping to the rain.

In the next blog, I’m going to make a list of things I need to do tomorrow.  If I can get 1/2 of them done, I’ll consider it a success.  Why is there always so much to do?  Well it’s better to be busy than now.  The simple accomplishments make the world go round.
